Discovery Channel’s Planet Earth
I turned on Friday’s episode of the Oprah show tonight. She was featuring her new obsession, Discovery Channel’s Planet Earth. Matt and I watched the show and we were just amazed at the footage of the snow geese, baboons, polar bear, snow leopard and the ant that goes crazy.
The series took over 4 years to produce and aired in the UK in 2006. Sigourney Weaver, one of my dad’s favorites, narrates the US version. We will definitely record and watch this show with Danielle and Mason. We encourage you to give it a try. The show airs on Sunday nights at 7 PM CT.
More information can be found at Wikipedia. There is also a movie that will be out in a few months.

Rotten old cauliflower
I had planned on getting a salad for lunch today since I can’t eat any meat. I walked over to the next building and went to Alonti, only to find the most pitiful salad bar. This rotten cauliflower immediately caught my eye and I had to capture it.
I ended up getting a veggie sandwich with mozzarella and pesto but that was also bad. Haven’t been to Alonti in ages and won’t be going back anytime soon.
Boring
I wish I had something fun and creative to write about today but I don’t. I went to work and we had a Pot Luck Lunch. It was a low turn out. I was supposed to bring Ice Cream but instead went to Kroger at the last minute to get something from the deli with 2 other coworkers. Blah.
I’m in the middle of the latest Pointy Sticks Podcast, episode 16. I’m not a knitter but I wanted to hear what Christine had to say about getting your geek on! I think I am a geek. I used to be but feel like I have lost touch and need to get more into it.
Mason and I played with sidewalk chalk after a dinner of chips, oranges, ice cream and rice. He threw a fit when he had to get out and even climbed back in the tub while I was drying him off.
I’m tired. I wanted to read some blogs, visit my flickr friends and make some comments but I am too tired and am off to try and sleep. 9:05 is a little early for me..
Edit: Just to clarify, the Pointy Sticks podcast was not boring, I was having a boring day.
My flower photos
I like taking photos of flowers. I know I still need a lot of practice but I keep trying.
Comment to: HELP! Wife in Crisis!!!
[testing trackback]
My birthday is April 3rd and I will be 33! 33 on the 3rd! And honestly I would love for my husband just to give me some money to do whatever with. If that is what he asked for, just give it to him. He isn’t being sneaky, he is being honest.
$998 for a piece of old cow skin?
This shocked me to see Coach has a new bag, the New MAUDE VINTAGE LEATHER XL TOTE, they are selling for $998! Normal people actually buy these things? I know someone that finances new purses for his wife and that just shocks me too. I wonder if I should send him a link to this one and see if he charges it too. And I thought $100 was a lot to spend on my current bag. This is just ridiculous.
New Green Theme
I am playing with a new green theme, Vidyal, which I am styling to make my own. I was looking for some feedback. After a long search for photos of green tile, I found the right one for me. The photographer let me use the photo so I wanted to give her credit.
I also added a link to subscribe to my blog. I haven’t had a link in ages so maybe I will get more readers now.
Let me know what you think. Thanks, mgmt.
Living in Debt (quote)
Living in debt is nerve-wracking, insomnia-producing, and family-wrecking. Just don’t do it. There is nothing you can buy that feels as good as being in debt feels bad. — Ben Stein
