Mom 2.0 Summit Kick-off Happy Hour
I had a long drive to The Tasting Room for the Mom 2.0 Summit Happy Hour. I thought to my myself, why not get photos with 10 people I know and 10 people I don’t know? I am always taking photos so not usually in them. Many people thought this was a great idea and were very willing to help. Didn’t make my "people I don’t know goal" because my camera battery died.
In this photo, I know Mark, Jason and Tracey! I got to meet Pat, Trae, Ellen and Jennifer!

Houston Via Colori 2008
I got to attend one of the neatest events in Houston, Via Colori! This street painting festival is put on and benefits the The Center for Hearing and Speech. There were so many great pieces of art, even kids got to participate. Mason also loved the music and food! I was able to visit with many photographer friends as well!
Enter a world of color and creativity on the streets of downtown Houston when The Center for Hearing and Speech (CHS) celebrates its third annual Via Colori, a Street Painting Festival, November 22-23, 2008.
The festival will showcase more than 175 artists who will create original masterpieces on the street in a pastel medium. From creation to completion, festival-goers will be able to watch as artists turn asphalt into art. Food, beverages, entertainment and children’s activities will round out this spectacular fall weekend in Sam Houston Park and the surrounding streets of Bagby and Allen Parkway.

2nd Foot Surgery
I went under the knife again by choice on Friday, Nov 14, 2008. I was twittering up until my cocktail and right when I woke up in recovery.
My feet had both been in a lot of pain for a while. I saw my doctor and we decided to have the screws removed from the left foot and also do the bunion removal on the right foot.
Glad I had it done but today, Sunday, I’m in pain and taking it easy as much as possible.

Working at home
This is how I work best at home. I moved one of my office tables/desks to the game room so I could watch TV too. I don’t like working in the office, too quiet.
This way I can work, keep up with other stuff on my macbook, and catch up on the DVR or Netflix. I move the table over to the wall when not in use so the kids can still play in the room. Works for me.
I thought about just putting a TV in the office but that would mean I would have to BUY a new tv and don’t want to. I would also need an extra satellite box and don’t really want to deal with that. Maybe I should just switch the office and game room?
Ramble on….
How do you work at home?

number 1:
I am working on building out my family tree and connecting as many family members as possible on geni.com. Its a lot of work but so far, very rewarding. Try it.
number 2:
I am really loving Mediterranean food. I think its my like #2 favorite now. I only started eating it when I moved to Houston 10 years ago but its a high fave now.
number 3:
I want to move to Colorado soon, like in less than 2 years. I have so enjoyed Houston the past 2 years but would like to raise my son where there are season. I have family in Denver and would visit in the summers and winters a lot. I even lived there for about 4 months after college.
number 4:
When I was in 4th grade I was called “The Wanderer” by my reading teacher. I didn’t like reading much back then and I would wander around the classroom and talk to people asking for answers to questions about books I was supposed to be reading. That stopped when she told me “Why don’t you wander on up to the principal’s office“.
number 5:
My mouth was too small for all the teeth I was born with. When I got braces in the 8th grade, I had 4 teeth removed. Later on I had my wisdom teeth removed as well so I have 8 teeth missing. I keep two of the wisdom teeth in my bathroom and just recently showed them to my kids, cavities and all.
number 6:
My friend Mary took my favorite picture of my husband to date at our wedding in black and white. Its a photo him casually resting on a pillar and he has one hand up saying hi. I have it on my desk at work and it looks like he is saying hi to me all the time. I love the tux too :D

on our wedding day
okay… my turn to tag 6 people:
