Apple Store - Galleria, Houston, Texas

Its a bit after 1 PM and I just arrived at the Apple Store to meet my friend Libby who is in line. She got here at about 9 AM and is #26 in line. The line doesn’t seem too long but then again, I don’t see where it ends.

People have been allowed to sit, unlike other reports at other stores. Apple also passed out water, juice and Starbucks coffee earlier. Maybe they will pass out Chick-fal-a for lunch!

I decided on the Nokia E62

Just getting used to it and setting it up. I will write a about in after I have had more time to mess with it. I decided to go with this model over other smartphones because I didn’t want to have it run on Windows Mobile or whatever its called. I also didn’t want to full fledged Palm device to have to use Palm desktop to sync again (I had a Handspring and Palm Zire before). I wanted to have access to text messaging and internet and wanted a large screen and full keyboard. I am not using it for work so I didn’t want to go with a Blackberry. I also love that this runs the symbian OS because you can customize with with many different applications and games. I just need to get a Mini SD card to start storing more information on it. Oh and the Bluetooth file sending from my macbook is pretty nifty. Looking forward to using that more.

Anyone out there on Cingular I can talk to for free? Let me know.

Questions about Cellphone service

I am considering switching cellphone service. There is a specific phone I want that is only offered on Cingular, the Nokia N62.

I have been with Sprint PCS for over 8 years and know nothing else about how other customer service, pricing plans and reliability.

Cingular claims they have more people in their network which should save me anytime minutes but I’m not sure if I even know more than 1 person on Cingular. Do I? Are you on Cingular and I didn’t know it?

I was happy with my phone but Danielle broke it last week. Its usable but the screen is all messed up and you can see barely a thing. Sprint doesn’t have any phones I would want to buy now so I switched my line with Matt’s older Sprint phone he doesn’t use since he uses a work phone. This phone is terrible. Sure you can see the screen but it doesn’t hold a charge and drops calls quickly. Danielle is having to pay me to be able to replace my phone, even if I stay with Sprint or change carriers.
I am asking for your input:

  1. Who is your cellphone carrier?
  2. Are you pleased with the service? Any complaints or praises?
  3. If you were to switch, who would you go with?
  4. Any particular phone you like?

I have been reading online but would like input from people I actually know.

Thanks for your help.
