::Anyone can miss a Day::

Onesome: Anyone– Has anyone made an impression on you lately? No, not on the national level, but at work or school or just ‘around’. …or even here on the web?

I have really been enjoying a new podcast by Gwen Bell and Patrick Reynolds, called Zen is Stupid.

Its a very silly, simple look at Zen Buddhism. They make it be known they are no experts, just practitioners. They laugh a whole lot! They own a yoga studio in Japan, Yoga Garden, and post videos online. They are also easily relateble being young, in the 20s.

After every episode I take time to think about the topic of discussion that week and try and learn from it. They have made an impression on my life recently. They have got me thinking more and doing yoga more and I like that.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Gwen at SXSW in Austin a few weeks ago.

Twosome: can Miss– Speaking of webbish things (and of course we are !), what types of things do you take a miss on at your place and chose not to post about? Just curious…

I write about random subjects. I post random photos. I post random links (using del.icio.us mostly. I try not to write too much about my husband because he is almost anti-internet. Can you believe it??

Threesome: a Day– On a similar note: do you post every day? …or just whenever? …or is every session at the computer a spur to work up a little something?

Its whenever. Some days, like today, I will write 3-5 posts. Other times you will only get links from me. Speaking of link how about throw in a link to Jenny the Bloggess. She SO cracks me up! Jenny, we must meet up soon.

::Red Light, Green Light::

Onesome: Red– candles for Valentine’s Day? Are you decorating this year? Planning? Scheming? Deferring?

We don’t really celebrate for Valentine’s Day much in our family. We exchange cards and candy but that’s really it. I’m not expecting dinner out with my husband, nor diamond earrings, bit it would be a nice surprise!

Twosome: Light, Green–? …or would that be ‘teal’? What color is your kitchen area? What color should it be be?

Green is my favorite color! My kitchen has khaki colored walls but all my accents are a mossy green. I wanted to wait the walls themselves but husband isn’t big on painting interiors of homes so haven’t done it yet.

Threesome: Light-- up the place and save energy with these newer CFL/twisty bulbs? Have you tried any yet? How are they working out?

I got one from Green Mountain, or energy company, but we have no place to put it, yet. All of our fixtures use crazy sized light bulbs. I hope to use it soon. I know some one that gave 4-packs of CFL light bulbs out as Christmas presents. Trying to do their part I guess.

::Better Late than Never!::

Onesome: Better– butter than margarine? …or Mayonnaise? What goes on your bread for sandwiches? How about dinner rolls? Honey, anyone?

I have been eating Egg Salad Sandwiches lately, at work and and at home. I make mine with mayo instead of Miracle whip. I don’t eat any lunch meat so no other kind of sandwiches besides veggie ones like PB&J or a panini with basil, tomato and cheese. On dinner rolls, I love real butter and honey too.

Twosome: Late– again! I think that’s something I do about once a year. May I blame it on Christmas cleaning? How about you: is your place all cleaned up from the paper-fest? …or can you even get to the door yet?

Yes, I clean up immediately after opening gifts. Trash is already on the curb, 3 days early from pick up day.

Threesome: than Never– again? Do you have any Christmas memories (this year or Christmas Pasts) that you’d just like to never repeat? I’m thinking humourous stories would be best!

I hope my husband actually calls his parents BEFORE Christmas to make plans with them instead of the day of. Trust me this caused a lot of problems and it wasn’t very humourous :(
