Ladies Who Lunch
Last LWL, I overheard Erica and JJ talking about something about appreciating themselves more, making themselves number 1! We threw out the idea of affirmations like “I love myself there for I wash my face every night before I go to bed” or “I love myself there for I exercise regularly”. These can be powerful statements for ourselves and can encourage others.
I thought at LWL this week we could all take turns each making a statement. Then I thought we could go a step further and Twitter these messages. Then I thought, this doesn’t have to be just LWL, since many great ladies can’t usually make the lunches.
How about spreading this to other ladies on Twitter? We could all use the hash tag #LWLove for “Ladies who Love”, cute huh? We would tweet how ever many “I love myself there for I…..” statements between noon and 3pm.
What do you think of all this?
Just to summarize:
* Who: Ladies who Love, not just Lunch :D
* What: Complete this tweet: “I love myself there for I…..”
* When: Between the Hours of noon and 3pm Today
* Where: On Twitter
* Why: To help ourselves and other women
* Don’t forget: The hash tag #LWLove
Please play along with me and share with others I may not have email addresses for. Looking forward to this already :D
How Tropical Storm Edouard effected my day on Twitter 8/5/08
It was a very busy day on Twitter for me today. I stayed home with the kids because Edouard caused work and my daycare to close for the day. Nothing really became of the storm but some rain and a bit of wind. On Twitter tho, I met a few new people and just had much heavier traffic than usual.

Sad Twitter Story
A sad twitter experience…
I have solved my Twitter problem, at least for now. I’m starting fresh with a new account and I’m not following any local people (except one). I’m obviously not mature enough to follow local people because I get my feelings hurt when I’m ignored and not part of the in crowd. This also takes the pressure off of me, because sometimes people get ticked if you don’t follow them but they follow you or you start following them and then stop, etc. I know I shouldn’t care whether people like me or not or are mad at me or not, but I do. All of that hassle has now been eliminated. This is taking Twitter back to the way it was for me when I started. Using it for myself and following a handful of interesting people around the net.

Thirty-Something Bloggers & Twitter
I found the Thirty-Something Bloggers network after following a link from my friend Melissa’s blog that took me to one of her friend Keely’s blog. Haven’t connected with all of the more than 130 members but have been able to find a few cool 30-somethings that I’m also following on twitter.
